Identity Card
The student shall carry their Student identity cards during stay in College and produce to the concerned authorities on demand. Student card shall be issued to the students after payment of prescribed fee by the Institute.
No Drugs And Tobacco
Use of drugs and tobacco is not allowed anywhere in the premises of the College. In case of violation, offenders shall be dealt as per Drug and Tobacco Policy.
Library Books
Students are expected to be very careful about the library books. They are not allowed to take book without getting these issued in their names. Books should be returned on time. A fine of Rs. 50 per day per book shall be charged if books are returned late. A damage of defaced book shall have to be replaced with new one by Student.
Extra-Curricular Activities
All the students of the Institute are bound to participate / attend extracurricular activities or events arranged by the Institute and shall pay their contribution in this regard if required. Sincere co-operation of parents is earnestly sought in this matter.
Fee & Fine Payment
Fee and Fine payment will be done on specific dates as specified by the college.
Struck off after Admission
If a student remains absent for 10 days in any subject or all subjects, his name will be struck off. He will have to apply for re-admission in accordance with struck off notification.
Besides, for re-admission, he will have to pay special fine and admission fee.
Note:
- Both theory and practical attendance will be counted for science students.
- If a student’s name is struck off twice, he will lose the right of re-admission.
- If a student is found in indiscipline, misbehavior or malpractice, the college administration reserves the right to take proper disciplinary action against him.
Student Discipline:
The following regulations are prescribed to govern the matters relating to the discipline for all levels of program at the Institute.
- Students shall abide all the rules and regulation of the Institute.
- Students shall not organize any union or invite any political leaders / religious leaders for arranging meeting in the Institute, distributing notices / any kind of published material or collecting money for any purpose / cause without the prior permission from authorities.
- The Institute's properties includes furniture / fixture, multimedia, computers and laboratory equipments etc should be handled with maximum care and every possibilities should be done to preserve the cleanliness and tidiness of the building, furniture, library books and the premises.
- Ragging, Teasing, Taunting, Ribbing, Mocking and Baiting in any form are strictly prohibited in the Institute.
- Students must work quietly while in the library or in a way that must not hamper the work of other students sitting around them.
- Students must park their vehicles only in the designated places.
- Under any circumstances, no student / staff or outsider is permitted to meet any faculty member while he is engaged with class or on invigilation duty.
- Students are expected to see the Institute's notice board every day before attending the class.
- Students should always display their student cards putting around their neck by using the card holder and tag provided to them.
- It is strictly prohibited to bring any kind of narcotics / drugs / tobacco inside the Institute and on recreational trips arranged by the Institute.
- Eatables and soft drinks are not allowed to bring in the class rooms, library & labs. A fine of Rs. 1000 shall be charged if found guilty.
- Smart parties (e.g.) birthday etc. shall only be celebrated in Institute Cafeteria with prior approval of concerned administrative authority.
- Students shall leave the Institute within 60 minutes from the end of their classes or shall sit in library, if needed.
- Student are not allowed to bring any outsider within the Institute.
- Use of mobile phones is not allowed in College.
- Student are not allowed to stage or participate in any sort of walk out / lock outs, strike, agitation neither quarrel with each other, teacher, staff or any other officer in Institute.
- Student shall strictly observe moral & ethical values. Abusive language is strictly prohibited.
- All sorts of weapons including gun, pistol, revolver, dagger, knife, sword etc are prohibited inside the Institute.
- Use of loud speaker, mega phone and, decks prohibited in the Institute except in functions arranged by the Institute.
- Students shall not commit any act of dishonesty like submitting false documents, telling a lie for undue favor, use of un-faire means during any examination.
- Students are not allowed to promote agenda of any political party or creed, race and sectarian group. However, for academic, welfare and extracurricular activities societies / committees consisting of faculty member and students can be formed at class / department level with the approval of the Competent Authority.
- No student shall disregard or disobey the Institute's rules in any manner, may it be physically, by written means or gestures.
- Students shall not damage any property of Institute or public.
- Sexual Harassment is strictly prohibited in the premises of the Institute, and shall dealt as punishable offence under the Policy on Protection Against Sexual Harassment.
Acts of Indiscipline:
Students will be charged with an act of indiscipline if he / she:-
- Breaches code of conduct as specified above or desired by the Competent Authority from time to time.
- Disobedience against lawful orders of teachers or any official of the Institute.
- Willfully damages or destroy properties belonging to the Institute, public, fellow students, teachers or any other officials of the Institute.
- Uses indecent language, wears undesired dress, passes indecent remarks / gestures and commits an immoral act against his / her fellow student or any other person within the Institute.
- Commits an act of impersonation.
- Commits any such act which is prejudice to good order, ethics, discipline and rules of the Institute.
Migration
A candidate shall be eligible for migration as board / university rules provided.
- He falls within the college merit
- A seat lies vacant in the college
- Documentary evidence of change of address
However, the final decision lies with the Principal.
Class Attendance
Only those students will be eligible to appear in board / university exam who follow the following criteria of class attendance along with other conditions:
- 75% attendance in each subject
- In subjects which include practicals, 75% attendance in the specific period (practical) provided practical periods are not below 40.
- 72 hours manual work in academic terms before exam.
- No relaxation / relief will be provided in the lecture count in case of leave, illness or any other reason.
- 90% attendance in mandatory for BS students
Class Absence Fine & Special Fine
In case of violation of college rules, special fine may be charged which is not remissible.
- 02 rupees will be charged for absence in each lecture.
- In case of absence from college exam, 200 rupees will be charged
- Liberal use of Mobile Phone will result in 1000 rupees fine.
- Smoking / misbehaving with college officials / workers.
- 150 rupees will be fined to students without uniform.
- If students are found quarreling among themselves, they will be fined.
- Facilitating activities of foreign organizations.
- Damaging college property.
- Remain absent from classes continuously.
