These regulations guide student discipline, attendance, conduct, and institutional responsibilities.

Policy Handbook

Rules and Compliance

Identity Card

  • The student shall carry their student identity card during stay in college and produce it to the concerned authorities on demand.
  • Student card shall be issued after payment of prescribed fee by the institute.

No Drugs And Tobacco

  • Use of drugs and tobacco is not allowed anywhere in the premises of the college.
  • In case of violation, offenders shall be dealt with as per Drug and Tobacco Policy.

Library Books

  • Students are expected to be very careful about library books and cannot take books without issuance in their names.
  • Books should be returned on time. A fine of Rs. 50 per day per book shall be charged if books are returned late.
  • A damaged or defaced book shall have to be replaced with a new one by the student.

Extra-Curricular Activities

  • All students are bound to participate or attend extracurricular activities or events arranged by the institute.
  • Students shall pay their contribution in this regard if required.
  • Sincere co-operation of parents is earnestly sought in this matter.

Fee & Fine Payment

  • Fee and fine payment will be done on specific dates as specified by the college.

Struck Off After Admission

  • If a student remains absent for 10 days in any subject or all subjects, his/her name will be struck off.
  • The student will have to apply for re-admission in accordance with struck off notification.
  • For re-admission, the student will have to pay special fine and admission fee.

Important Notes

  • Both theory and practical attendance will be counted for science students.
  • If a student's name is struck off twice, he/she will lose the right of re-admission.
  • If a student is found in indiscipline, misbehavior, or malpractice, the college administration reserves the right to take disciplinary action.

Student Discipline

  • Students shall abide by all rules and regulations of the institute.
  • Students shall not organize any union or invite political/religious leaders for meetings, distribution, or fund collection without prior permission.
  • Institute property, including furniture, fixtures, multimedia, computers, and laboratory equipment, must be handled with maximum care.
  • Ragging, teasing, taunting, ribbing, mocking, and baiting in any form are strictly prohibited.
  • Students must work quietly in the library and should not hamper others.
  • Students must park vehicles only in designated places.
  • No student/staff/outsider is permitted to meet faculty during class or invigilation duty.
  • Students are expected to check the institute notice board daily before attending class.
  • Students should always display their student cards around their neck using the provided holder and tag.
  • It is strictly prohibited to bring narcotics/drugs/tobacco inside the institute and on recreational trips arranged by the institute.
  • Eatables and soft drinks are not allowed in classrooms, library, and labs. A fine of Rs. 1000 shall be charged if found guilty.
  • Smart parties (e.g. birthdays) shall only be celebrated in institute cafeteria with prior approval.
  • Students shall leave the institute within 60 minutes from end of classes, or sit in library if needed.
  • Students are not allowed to bring outsiders within the institute.
  • Use of mobile phones is not allowed in college.
  • Students are not allowed to stage or participate in walkouts, lockouts, strikes, agitation, or quarrels with teachers/staff/officers.
  • Students shall strictly observe moral and ethical values. Abusive language is prohibited.
  • All sorts of weapons including gun, pistol, revolver, dagger, knife, sword etc. are prohibited inside the institute.
  • Use of loudspeaker, megaphone, and decks is prohibited except in functions arranged by the institute.
  • Students shall not commit acts of dishonesty such as submitting false documents, telling lies for undue favor, or use of unfair means in examinations.
  • Students are not allowed to promote agenda of any political party or creed, race, and sectarian group.
  • No student shall disregard or disobey institute rules physically, by written means, or gestures.
  • Students shall not damage institute or public property.
  • Sexual harassment is strictly prohibited and shall be dealt as punishable offence under the relevant policy.

Acts of Indiscipline

  • Students will be charged with an act of indiscipline if he/she breaches code of conduct prescribed by competent authority.
  • Disobedience against lawful orders of teachers or officials of the institute.
  • Willful damage or destruction of properties belonging to institute, public, fellow students, teachers, or officials.
  • Use of indecent language, undesired dress, indecent remarks/gestures, or immoral act against fellow student or any other person within institute.
  • Committing an act of impersonation.
  • Any act prejudicial to good order, ethics, discipline, and institute rules.

Migration

  • A candidate shall be eligible for migration as per board/university rules provided:
  • He/She falls within the college merit.
  • A seat lies vacant in the college.
  • Documentary evidence of change of address is provided.
  • Final decision lies with the Principal.

Class Attendance

  • Only those students will be eligible to appear in board/university exam who meet attendance criteria along with other conditions.
  • 75% attendance in each subject.
  • In subjects with practicals, 75% attendance in practical periods (provided practical periods are not below 40).
  • 72 hours manual work in academic term before exam.
  • No relaxation in lecture count in case of leave, illness, or any other reason.
  • 90% attendance is mandatory for BS students.

Class Absence Fine & Special Fine

  • In case of violation of college rules, special fine may be charged and is not remissible.
  • Rs. 02 will be charged for absence in each lecture.
  • In case of absence from college exam, Rs. 200 will be charged.
  • Liberal use of mobile phone will result in Rs. 1000 fine.
  • Smoking or misbehaving with college officials/workers may be fined.
  • Rs. 150 will be fined to students without uniform.
  • If students are found quarreling among themselves, they will be fined.
  • Facilitating activities of foreign organizations is prohibited.
  • Damaging college property is punishable.
  • Remaining absent from classes continuously is punishable.
